Case Studies: Coach House Refurbishment

Situated adjacent to the existing A23, this Coach House is on the side of the road on the original A23 and is where Horses were rested and exchanged during the journey from London to Brighton whilst the occupants had tea in the main house. The Coach House suffered a substantial fire and permission was granted to the client to convert the building to a two bedroomed house. The Architects design suggested that the West Elevation could still be opened to take the horses into the Stable for resting.
